DIRECTION

By far my most ambitious project to date, this was a year-long project we worked on throughout our final two years of high school. We started in March of my Junior year and released the full film February of Senior year. This film felt like the culmination of all our previous projects up to this point, as Gavin worked on his first full-length album alongside my first longer-form film. It was as much a documentary about the album itself as it was about our creative relationship and ambitions–a biography about Gavin and an autobiography on myself at the same time. I took much inspiration from the Jeen-Yuhs series about Ye and Logic’s Vinyl Days doc, striving to convey the feeling of some young, ambitious people doing what they love.
